Toya Bailey, owner of TNT Cleaning Services, won a business plan submission contest ? the prize for which was a $1,500 grant ? as part of a recent business symposium in Memphis titled ?Controlling How Your Cookie Crumbles? that was sponsored by The Carter Malone Group.
The symposium was designed to educate and empower entrepreneurs and business owners like Bailey who may have needed strategic planning and technical support to help launch, grow and sustain a business of their own.
Bailey started TNT Cleaning Services because she wanted to set up a business and run it herself. She eventually would like to extend, creating a cleaning and janitorial service for different states that?s competitive with larger cleaning companies.
She now has four full-time employees and two on call.
The company is based in the Bartlett area and offers commercial and residential cleaning services and specializes in waxing, buffing, stripping, sealing and polishing.
Bailey plans to spend the $1,500 on supplies and equipment.
